Friends since university 8 years ago (it seems longer now we think about it...), it was on a trip through Russia whilst on the Trans-Mongolian route in 2004 that Richard managed to convince Dwyer (on the left) to take part in another somewhat more adventurous trip - from London to Sydney overland.

Whether the cold of -16C below in Irkutsk, Siberia, had got to him or the fact we were nearing the end of our journey, Dwyer eagerly agreed. Ever since, Dwyer has cursed the day he ever met Richard.

We are great friends.

Dwyer Rooney is 26, resides in Manchester and is currently employed as an electrical engineer.
